Explore the natural beauty of Sri Lanka on a 2-day tour from Colombo. Enjoy a slow boat river safari in Bentota, a jeep safari in Yala National Park, Udawalawe National Park, and a guided trek in the Sinharaja Rainforest.
Day 1:
Meet your guide in Colombo and drive to Yala National Park. On the way, stop in Bentota for a river safari. Cruise down the Bentota River, see the crocodiles, monkeys, monitors, lizards, birds and many more.
Continue to Yala National Park and embark on an afternoon safari. Look out for leopards, elephants, deer, wild boars, bears, and monkeys. After the safari, head to your hotel and relax for the evening.
Day 2:
Start the day with a morning jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park. Look out for elephants, which are relatively hard to see in its open habitats. Many elephants are attracted to the park because of the Udawalawe reservoir, with a herd of about 250 believed to be permanently resident.
Next, drive to the Sinharaja Rainforest for a guided trek. Learn about the fascinating fauna and flora of the rainforest. The forest reserve is a biodiversity hotspot in Sri Lanka and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
After the trek, return to Colombo.
