Description
Enjoy a tour of Cadaqués, where you can explore the charming coastal town and taste exquisite local wines. This tour combines the best of the region's art, culture and enology.
Departure from Barcelona or Girona at the indicated time, from your hotel. We will arrive at the Alt Empordà region, known for its vineyards and wineries. We will enjoy one of the most prestigious wineries in the area as Perelada and its Wine Museum. A unique wine tasting experience awaits us. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by winemakers who will guide you through the vineyards, explaining the vine growing process and the unique characteristics of the land and climate of the region. After the tour of the vineyards, you will go to the winery, where you will learn about the winemaking process, from harvesting to bottling. The wine tasting will include a selection of their best vintages. After the wine tasting, it is time to head to Cadaqués, located about 30 to 45 minutes drive from Perelada. You will arrive in this picturesque coastal town just in time to enjoy lunch overlooking the sea. We will be able to eat in one of the restaurants facing the bay, and enjoy typical Mediterranean cuisine. Cadaqués is a charming seaside village on the Costa Brava, famous for its breathtaking scenery and its connection to the artist Salvador Dalí. After lunch, begin your tour of Cadaqués. Start with a visit to the Salvador Dalí House-Museum in Portlligat, the former residence of the famous surrealist painter. This house, located in a small cove, is a work of art in itself, full of personal objects, works of art and curiosities. The visit offers you an intimate insight into Dalí's life and work. At the end, we will begin our tour by exploring the Church of Santa Maria, located in the upper part of the old town, which offers breathtaking views of Cadaqués and the Mediterranean Sea. From there, in a 1 hour walk through the cobblestone streets we will discover some stories and legends of pirates and Indians that will transport us to other times. Time to walk freely for about 30 minutes and get lost in the handicraft and Mediterranean clothing stores in the center. Finally return to Barcelona.
