During this sunset tour we will explore the historic center of Úbeda learning about its history and architecture, avoiding the summer heat in the late afternoon.
We will start at 7pm by visiting the interior of the Palacio Vela de Los Cobos, the only Renaissance palace that is still inhabited in the entire province, with its magnificent art collection and its library, considered one of the best private libraries in Andalusia.
After visiting the palace, once the sun has gone down, we will visit the two most important areas of the historic center of Úbeda:
On the one hand, Plaza 1 de Mayo, also formerly known as Market square, the heart of medieval Úbeda, where we will discover the surprising facades of the Town Hall and the Church of San Pablo, whose construction began in the 13th century.
On the other hand, Plaza Vázquez de Molina, with jewels of the Spanish Renaissance such as the Sacred Chapel of Salvador, pantheon of Don Francisco de los Cobos, secretary and right-hand man of Emperor Carlos V or the Vázquez de Molina Palace, current Úbeda town hall.
Tour will finish in the City Hall square at 9pm.
