Since very early times, Toledo's forefathers have excavated rock for different purposes. Rock was excavated for storing water, creating shelter from wars, forging hidden passageways, and building spas, baths, and tunnels. This has created legends that have lasted centuries, in some cases masking known historical data and in other cases trying to explain the unexplainable.
Together with your guide, you will discover the "bath Cenizal" (old hammam), or Arab baths from the 11th century. Your official tour guide will detail their architectural curiosities, including why and how it was used. The old nuncio Roman baths were a social space of the Roman Toledo. Throughout this experience, you will learn of how this civilization built and reused it. You will also discover Salvador's Well, which is an old well from the 11th century that belonged to the mosque, before moving on to the Church of the Savior and finally to the "House of the Jew".
