Visit to the Monastery of Poblet
We leave early in the morning towards the Monastery of Poblet, which is a Cistercian abbey declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A great architectural complex with almost 1000 years of history, among the 3 largest and most complete in the world. After this interesting guided visit, we will continue our change to the region of origin of Priorat wine. A visit to one of the wineries of this region is not to be missed to understand its potency of flavor and the orology of the terroir. For this we will head to Villafranca de Panadés, where before lunch we will visit the Torres Family Winery. After touring the facilities, we will taste a tasting of the winery's own wines along with a selection of 4 types of their succulent and artisanal cheeses.
Route through Sitges
From here we are very close to the town of Sitges, a small fishing village located south of Barcelona, with a history rich in literature and art. Sitges is known for its cultural heritage as well as for its lively nightlife. After leaving Sitges, we will visit the Foix Reservoir, located within the Foix Park, it is a natural must-see. The reservoir is a marvel for the eyes, with the contrast between its vegetation of pines, oaks, ashes and poplars.
With this pleasant breeze of nature we will end our tour back to Salou or Tarragona.
