In the heart of the Parte Vieja, this is one of the most visited monuments in the city and was built in the 18th century over a romantic church. Marvel at the Good Shepherd of San Sebastian Cathedral, the largest church in the city. It was inaugurated in 1897 and was built in a neo-gothic style, but only designated as a cathedral in 1953. Notice the decorative elements such as the stained glass windows, gargoyles, pinnacles and all the stonework done in very soft sandstone.
