Description

Cycle to one of Spain's most beautiful towns through olive groves, past vineyards and typical Andalusian countryside. Using quiet roads and backtracks challenge yourself with this adventurous ride.
There are a few options when cycling from Ronda to Setenil de las Bodegas and this route is the most rewarding but also challenging.

Starting from the historic neighbourhood El Barrio de San Francisco, Ronda, you will drop into the valley below Ronda's Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) and up the other side, before descending into the valley beyond Ronda.

After 5Km you will start your toughest ascent of the day taking you past the Old Roman Town of Acinepo.

Soon after you pass Acinepo, a nice 10 km descent will take you to Setenil through Olive groves and beautiful farmland.

In Setenil you have a great opportunity to stop, grab a drink and marvel at its beauty.

From Setenil de las Bodegas, you will start to climb gradually into the countryside surrounding the town, using back tracks and quiet roads and once your ascent is finished a nice long flat section awaits.

Your route will finish soon after you descend into the village of Arriate and up, into Ronda, returning to the place you started.
