Description
Due to its 300 meter walls and its rugged character, declared a Natural Monument, we consider the Torrent de Pareis as one of the most extraordinary excursions in Mallorca.
This is an itinerary with deserved respect: very difficult for some and easy for us and our visitors if done with knowledge and accompanied by a good guide. Suitable mountain boots or sneakers, good physical condition and good health are required. It is not an easy route, but the work of the guide will give us the confidence to overcome the obstacles along the way and will lead us, during an unforgettable day, to the magical cove of Sa Calobra.
A bus will pick us up at 9:00 a.m. at the Ocimax CC and will take us to the beginning of the activity in Escorca. We will begin the excursion at the Escorca Restaurant Bar, 630 meters above sea level, to descend in approximately one hour. , along a cobbled mountain path, to the Torrent de Lluc, where the ravine begins. We will reach Entreforc (start of the Torrent de Pareis) and visit the end of the famous Gorg Blau or Sa Fosca ravine, to contemplate the great crack more than 250 meters high, where a few meters separate both walls.
Purely mountain itinerary through the bed of the Torrent de Pareis ravine, where there is no marked path, but rather we will move between enormous blocks, rocks and capricious formations shaped by the bed of the ravine. The use of ropes or climbing techniques is not necessary in normal humidity conditions and if the correct route and the guide's instructions are followed.
