Fuencaliente is situated in the south of the island and its history is marked by the eruptions of its volcanoes. You will see San Antonio and the Teneguía volcanoes, which until 2021 was the most recent volcano on the island.
Enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes of La Palma: the lighthouse and the salt mines, where salt is produced in a traditional way, being nowadays the last salt complex of the Canary Islands and the only one in La Isla Bonita.
In Las Manchas, where the recent Tajogaite volcano was born, you will be surprised by the size of its volcanic edifice and by the change in the landscape.
From the Mirador de Las Hoyas viewpoint, you will be able to see the new extension of the island caused by the lava when it reaches the sea, known as the lava delta. You will cross with the bus 4x4, the only bus allowed, by the new access created to join the northern and southern part of the Aridane Valley.
