It is a shelter-type cave, they were excavated in the rock at the end of the 10th century or the beginning of the 11th by North African populations.
The Cueva de la Tía Micaela complex, located in the municipality of Cortes and Graena, is made up of different rooms distributed on three levels and linked together by corridors, stairs and communication wells: a true and exciting fortress excavated in the clay. The cave had a single access protected by a well, a machicolation and a mill wheel that blocked the entrance.

It is a short route of 1km one way and another km back that is quite simple, but the terrain is dirt so it is advisable to wear comfortable and appropriate footwear.
