Experience the way of living and defending themselves of the inhabitants of La Cueva de la Tía Micaela, which is the sum of a group of cave dwellings made by the hand of man.
It is a shelter-type cave, they were excavated in the rock at the end of the 10th century or the beginning of the 11th by North African populations.
The Cueva de la Tía Micaela complex, located in the municipality of Cortes and Graena, is made up of different rooms distributed on three levels and linked together by corridors, stairs and communication wells: a true and exciting fortress excavated in the clay. The cave had a single access protected by a well, a machicolation and a mill wheel that blocked the entrance.
