Medieval Castles and Girona City Exclusive Trip with Lunch Shared Group Tour

A journey into the depths of history to an 11th-century medieval Castle, beautiful Girona city with an authentic Catalonian meal in an idyllic entourage. Nature, History, Culture and delicious Food!
We deep dive into Catalonia's medieval history as we visit one of the most emblematic and well-preserved castles from the early 11th-century, located in the heart of a stunning nature park. Then we have lunch inside an old mill from the 15th century for a traditional meal, an authentic experience! After lunch we will go discover the stunning small city of Girona, a medieval gem.

We start with pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Barcelona and first we head to the castle at Montsoriu, this is a 1-hour drive approx. We will enter the Montseny mountain park and when we arrive to our destination we will enjoy a 40-minute hike up to the castle, as you learn about the history of the region and we enjoy a lovely morning walk. It's a well preserved castle which provides beautiful views over the plains of Catalonia state.

So much history & hiking as waked up our appetite, so it's time for lunch. When we arrive at the secret lunch spot located just outside the pretty town of Arbúcies we will enjoy a traditional Catalan lunch inside a 15th-century old mill that is tucked away in the woods.

After lunch, relax on the picturesque drive to the city of Girona (1 hour approx). Upon arrival, explore one of the best preserved medieval old towns in Europe and discover its historic city streets, covering all of its major highlights, on a guided walking tour.

Afterward, enjoy some free time to explore at your leisure. We will head back to Barcelona and you'll be brought back to your accommodation. This is how we conclude a delightful day.
