Enjoy beautiful mountain vistas from the via verde gravel path. This adventure includes empty gravel roads, fig trees, scenic bridges overlooking foothills, steady climbs, and a long downhill home.
This is the perfect introduction to the incredible gravel riding available here in Alicante, Spain. Guided rides leave from the TREK shop, near the central train station, perfect for grabbing any last minute needed items, like gels or tubes. From here, we leave town and head towards Agost, by way of a cycle-path. We'll pass by the University campus and ride onwards passing Verdegas and get into the gravel at Camino Fondo. This will take us directly to the entry port of the Via Verde. The start provides a quick ramp up to the figs. From there we will enjoy about 22km of beautiful gravel, crossing through almond and olive tree orchards, several tunnels and a few very cool bridges. At the end of the gravel section, we have reached the halfway point and also the highest part of the ride. Here we will stop for a sandwich, non-alcoholic beverage, and coffee. Once we hop back on our bikes, it's downhill all the way back! Super fun ride. Great for a wide variety of skill levels. Good baseline fitness required.

Bring your own bike and bike gear, or rent a gravel bike from Trek Alicante. We will be crossing tunnels that are not lit, so lighting is necessary.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
