Description

* Taste the Finest, Rare Rice Wines from all over Korea * Tasting lead by sommelier/certified brewer * Hapjeong station
Come along for a unique Korean rice wine tasting, hosted by Jay, a Korean liquor sommelier, and Sam, a certified Korean alcohol brewer.

We’ve gone on quite a journey through Korea’s rice wines, meeting some fantastic, flavorful bottles along the way—many from small, local producers who rarely get the chance to reach a larger audience. Now, we’re ready to share these hidden gems with you!

Korean alcohol is so much more than just that familiar green bottle of Soju (which, by the way, is just diluted ethanol with sweeteners). The world of Korean liquor can be broadly divided into Makgeolli (unfiltered), Cheong-ju (filtered), and Soju (a distilled spirit). This tasting will center on Makgeolli and Cheong-ju, with one soju to add a spirited finish.

Join us for an unforgettable tasting adventure through Korea’s most authentic rice wines!
