Description

A breath taking scenic route along the Panorama route of the Drakensberg Mountains. Embark on wildlife viewing at Kruger Park and participate on hiking in the Southern Drakensberg of South Africa.
Day 1- A drive from Johannesburg via Panorama route to the Kruger National Park.

Leave Johannesburg and head east towards the province of Mpumalanga. We drive via the Panorama Route and visit the viewpoint at Blyde River canyon and God's Window. After the visit to the Panorama route, we then drive directly to Hazyview, a small town next to Kruger National park.

Day 2- A full day game drive in Kruger National park

Today we would start very early in the morning for a full day game drive in the greater Kruger National park in the hope to spot big five and other small animals. Kruger National Park is the biggest game park in South Africa and one of the biggest in Africa and the home of the big five animals.

Day 3- Eswatini.

Today we leave the Kruger National Park and drive through the small town of Malelane to Swaziland. on-route we will make a stop at the Matsamo cultural village, located right on the border of South Africa and Swaziland, where we will learn about Swazi culture and have a traditional village lunch. After lunch we crossed the border and drive inside Swaziland to our accommodation at Mantenga Lodge/ Similar accommodation.

Day 4- South Africa, St Lucia

Leaving Eswatini and driving back to South Africa. After border formalities, we continue to drive to st Lucia Lucia. In the afternoon we would participate in the sunset cruise in the Isimangaliso wetlands park which is the World heritage site.

Day 5- Hluhluwe -Umfolozi game reserve and Umdloti

We start with a morning game drive at Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park for about 3 hours, the park is located 50 km from our lodge. Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve, Is a Big 5 Game Park in the KwaZulu Natal province of South Africa. The oldest proclaimed reserve in Africa. Still Wild, With 96000 Hectares of Wilderness Awaiting you. After the game drive, we would drive to our next destination which is Umdloti, a small coastal town 30 km north of Durban

Day 6- Drakensberg and Howick

Today we have a long d drive to the northern Drakensberg, before we arrive at our lodge, we would visit one of the famous Howick falls . After Howick falls, we would visit Mandela Capture, that's the site where Mandela was arrested on the 05 August 1962 by the Apartheid police. We would then drive 2h30 to our hotel in the Drakensberg Mountain.

Day 7- Drakensberg Mountains

Hiking for about 3 to 4 hours in the Greater Drakensberg. After lunch time, you will have free time to do optional activities like horse riding or just relaxed at the lodge or visit the lodge spa.

Day 8- 4 hours drive back to Johannesburg

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
