Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge where you will start your 7-kilometer hike to the Tugela Falls, the second highest waterfall in the world. Choose to hike via The Gully or the Chain Ladders, depending on your preference and fitness.
The 7-kilometer hike takes on average about 3 hours to complete. There are a few steep sections but nothing that cannot be accomplished. In fact, the guide has never had anyone turn around on this hike.
Spend the night on the escarpment and enjoy some of the most spectacular Drakensberg scenery. Check out the Tugela Falls, the highest waterfall in the world. It plunges nearly 1000 meters over the edge of the Drakensberg escarpment into the valley below.
