South Africa is a wonderful country for bird watching, being home to 8% of the world’s bird species. Over 610 bird species and 60 of our 86 endemic birds have been registered in Cape Town. Birds such as Cape Sugarbird, Orange-breasted Sunbird, Victorin’s Warbler, Protea canary, Black Harrier, and Forest Canary are found nowhere else.
Going Slowly is not about a mode of transport. It is a way to spend valuable time well and to taste, smell, explore and listen. During this tour, we will visit two to three special bird-watching destinations in Nature reserves and botanical gardens at a relaxed pace, with time to time to stop and enjoy each place."
