Learning about the ingredients, brewing process, and the unique traditions behind South African potjie kos and braai culture.

While the brew simmers, you'll dive into the art of making potjie kos, a local favorite slow-cooked over an open flame, and enjoy a light lunch. We'll also take you through a guided beer tasting, where you’ll sample a variety of our finest brews.

This experience combines education, culture, and delicious food—perfect for those wanting to immerse themselves in the rich tradition of South African beer and braai.

Situated at THE SPICE YARD, 100 VOORTREKKER ROAD, SALT RIVER with ample secure parking.
Don’t be put off by the container trucks that often fill the road close to the entrance, just look for the three-storey building, covered in grass (next to the Hylton Ross Bus depot) and make your way to the main gate. Security staff will direct you to the secure underground parking areas then follow the signs to the Court Yard Beerworks.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
