You are advised to be at the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time. Bring valid ID or a copy. Children are also required to bring valid ID.
The Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island is located at the V & A Waterfront, next to the Clocktower. Walk up the stairs that are next to the children's play area & go through the security check. The Robben Island staff will direct you to the ferry. If you are using Uber, you can be dropped off at The Silo Hotel. Upon arrival, ask the Security staff to direct you to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island.
