A walk through Cape Town's Largest Township
You will be immersed in the history, culture and heritage of the second largest township in South Africa. Our meeting is a very special place and not just any school but my primary school. We will meet you at the parking of the school and we will immediately take short walk inside the school premises for introductions and orientation to the school.
Shortly after we will give you a background history of khayelitsha through our walk to some of the iconic and vibrant streets in community of Site B.
We will take walk down Bonga drive one of the busiest road in the area where thousands of residents of the area and surrounding areas catch they public transport to work in the mornings. We will introduce you to so many stories of the community and along our way we will people that leave in the area and some who have either I had grown up with or went to school together or just friends.
Our first stop will just be spaza shop to get some water and snack then continue our walk. We will continue our walk into the area through local streets to discover the life inside the formal side of the area.

This experience is for guests who want to engage with locals and explore the township through the eyes of those who grew up and still live in the neighborhood. Together, we will immerse ourselves in the township's day-to-day life and dissect and reconstruct the history and heritage of these vibrant communities. In the end, we hope to make memorable memories through shared experiences.
Our meeting point Is Chumisa Primary School, located on the busy Bonga Drive. The main entrance is right in front of a pedestrian crossing, next to Blue Corner, and at the entrance, there is a small security house with the caretaker/ security sitting outside.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
