Description

Discover the natural beauty of Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj on a private tour from Zagreb. Visit the 12th-century Bled Castle, take a boat to Bled Island, and admire alpine beauty of Bohinj Lake district
If you fancy yourself a nature enthusiast, this exclusive tour will whisk you away to two of Slovenia's most captivating lakes: Bled and Bohinj.
Lake Bled stands as a beacon for tourists, a quintessential Slovenian gem. And rightly so - its azure waters, the enchanting 12th-century castle crowning a cliff overlooking the lake, and the iconic Pletna boats ferrying visitors to Bled Island with its quaint church and enigmatic wishing bell, have all captivated travelers for generations.
Nestled within Triglav National Park, Lake Bohinj offers a panorama of Slovenia's loftiest peak. Less trodden than its counterpart, Lake Bohinj emanates tranquility, embracing visitors with its serene ambiance.
Embark on a full-day adventure commencing with a pickup from your lodging in Zagreb. After a brief half-hour drive, we'll arrive at the Slovenian border (remember your passport!). Transitioning from highway to local roads, we'll traverse vistas of the Julian Alps, pausing for a rejuvenating coffee break en route.
Our schedule allocates 3 hours each for Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj. However, as this is your personalized excursion, we can tailor the timetable to accommodate your preferences. Should you desire an extended sojourn at Lake Bled, we'll adjust the duration at Lake Bohinj accordingly (and vice versa).
At Lake Bled, relish a Pletna boat voyage to Bled Island, explore the historic Old Castle, bask in the sun, take a leisurely stroll or cycle, and indulge in the renowned Bled cream cake.
Meanwhile, at Lake Bohinj, embark on a moderate hike to the majestic 78-meter high Savica Waterfall. During the scorching summer months, embrace the cool waters for a swim or embark on a scenic boat excursion. Alternatively, savor local delicacies at a nearby eatery. Ascend to the panoramic heights of Vogel via cable car, treating yourself to breathtaking views of Bohinj Lake from an avian perspective. The 13th-century Church of St. John the Baptist, adorned with its enigmatic frescoes, beckons exploration. And for epicureans, sampling Bohinj cheese is an absolute must.
This tour guarantees an indelible encounter for aficionados of nature and admirers of Slovenia's iconic lakes.
