Embark on a 3-day safari to Akagera National Park. Enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Ihema, go on game drives, and see a variety of wildlife including elephants, impala, black-tailed mongoose, hippos, oribi, and more.
Day 1:
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, meet your safari guide and transfer to Akagera National Park in the eastern part of Rwanda. Go for a game drive, after which you will have lunch at the Akagera Game Lodge. In the afternoon, go for a boat ride on Lake Ihema to see aquatic animals like hippos and crocodiles as well as water birds like the papyrus gonolek, shoebill stork, and African fish eagle. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 2:
After breakfast, go for an early morning game drive to see wildlife such as elephants, impala, black-tailed mongoose, hippos, oribi, bushbucks, antelopes, zebras, Cape elands, giraffes, and buffalo. You will also see primates like the Olive baboon, vervet monkey, and bush baby. Later in the afternoon, return to the lodge to refresh and have your lunch and later go for another game drive that will end in the evening. Relax at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3:
After an early morning breakfast, check-out and head for an early morning game drive in search for game where you will see zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, buffalos, antelopes among others. After the game drive, embark on your return to Kigali with lunch en-route and later be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight.
