Description

Take a full-day private tour totally dedicated to Sintra, its UNESCO World Heritage sites, and its surroundings. Explore palaces such as the Queluz National Palace or the Pena Palace and enjoy a tasting of a typical "queijada" cake.
Your private day tour will begin with a pick-up from your Lisbon hotel or cruise port at 8:30. The objective of the day will be to show you the national monuments at Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As this is a private tour, you will have the freedom to rearrange your tour how you see fit.

Your first stop could be at the Queluz National Palace, an 18th-century palace inspired by the Versailles palace in France, recently restored, where one of the most beautiful and well maintained french gardens in Portugal can be seen. Afterwards, you might head to the center of Sintra, where you can enjoy free time for shopping and to enjoy the traditional pastries at a local tea house. You can even pay a short visit to the Village Palace, an 11th century palace, that has been transformed throughout the centuries and is now one of the most emblematic places of Sintra.

Before lunch, you could pass on through the 18th-century palace of Seteais and Quinta da Regaleira on your way to the Monserrate Palace and Park. After lunch we could head over to the Moorish Castle and the Pena National Palace for a visit to the palace and park before returning to Lisbon. On the Pena Palace there is still the possibility of making a more extensive tour though the park, on a minibus, which takes about one extra hour and can be booked on the day.

On a full-day tour in Sintra, it's impossible to visit all of the palaces mentioned above and all the interesting locations around the village. If you only visit palaces, there is time for visiting 4 of the mentioned attractions or for 3 visits and extended shopping time. You may also opt to visit Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe, some nearby beaches, the wine region of Colares, or even Cascais. Please inform the driver of your preferences so that all can be arranged to suit your requirements.
