The Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the most visited tourist places in Poland. The trip is an adventure combining the beauty of nature, history, and art. Definitely a must see place during your stay in Krakow.
After defeating 800 stairs, you will go down to a depth of 135 meters. Deep underground you will find a kind of salt city: winding corridors, caves and chamber salt sculptures, as well as exhibitions and old mechanisms still in operation thanks to which you will learn the methods of extraction.
Get ready for the experience not only visual, but also acoustic - this is the only place where you will be delighted with Chopin's music, admiring the accompanying effects of light being dozens of meters underground. The salt mine is also a place wchich is known for its pro-health properties.
The sighteeing takes about 2 hours 30 minutes. Directly after sightseeing, you return to Krakow and will be dropped off at your hotel or another place within the city center. Transport by minibus that fit 8 passengers or Mercedes Sprinter coach. Entire tour lasts about 4 hours.

There are 800 steps to climb of which 350 at the beginning take you down into the mine. Wear comfortable shoes.
