Description

Discover the life of Oskar Schindler and the places related to his life on this guided tour in Krakow. Skip the line at Schindler’s Factory.
Discover the history behind historic sites related to the German occupation and the entrepreneur Oskar Schindler on this guided tour around Krakow. Enjoy skip-the-line entry to the museum at Schindler’s Factory and tour the Plaszow concentration camp.

Oskar Schindler was a German entrepreneur who led many Jews through the war. Schindler’s story and the tragic events that took place in Krakow during World War II are shown in Stephen Spielberg's Oscar-winning film "Schindler's List.”

Follow your guide to Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory, now a museum featuring an atypical and modern exhibition. Start diving into the history of World War II in Poland and the real story of Schindler.

In between your tour, there will be an optional lunch break (at your own expense).

Then, take a comprehensive tour of the Krakow-Plaszow Concentration Camp, a camp in the southern suburbs of Krakow, founded by the Nazis shortly after the German invasion of Poland. See the remnants of the camp facilities and learn about camp life.

Originally, Plaszow opened in 1940 and was planned as a forced labor camp, but, in 1941, the camp was expanded and subsequently converted into a concentration camp. From 1942, the deportation of Jews from the Krakow Ghetto began.

The area which held the camp now consists of sparsely wooded hills and fields, with one large memorial to all the victims, erected in 1964.

Because the Plaszow area is now a nature preserve, a camp replica was built in the Liban Quarry, some hundred meters away, for its scenes in “Schindler’s List.”
