Ruta del Sol from Cusco – Puno | Raqchi

Enjoy a trip full of adventures on the Ruta del Sol from Cusco – Puno.
Cusco – Bus Station:

We will begin this tour leaving the bus station at the indicated time.

Travel time: 1 hour.

Colonial Temple of Andahuaylillas:

After 1 hour we will arrive at the city of Andahuaylillas, where we will visit the Church of San Pedro Apóstol, which is considered the Sistine Chapel of America, inside we will be able to see walls and ceilings with admirable fresco paintings and gold-plated paintings.

Raqchi – Temple of Wiracocha:

Then we will head to the archaeological site of Raqchi, here the most important structure of the archaeological site of Raqchi is the Temple of Wiracocha , which is a huge rectangular two storey structure measuring 92 meters long by 25.5 wide and approximately 9.80 mts. of height.

Guiding time: 35 minutes approx.

Sicuani – Buffet Lunch:

We will continue our excursion and along the way we will make a stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, then we will continue towards Paso de la Raya.

La Raya:

The stripe is located at an altitude of 4,335 meters, being the highest point of this trip, ideal for taking impressive photos. It is also the point that divides the regions of Puno and Cuzco.

Museo de Pukara:

We will continue with the tour with the most important Ceremonial Center of the Altiplano “Pukara”. In the museum we will learn about the origins of the Pucará culture through sculptures and stone ceramics.

Guiding time: 25 minutes approx.

Puno – Bus Station:

We will end this tour, leaving you at the Puno bus station.
