Dare to live the experience of seeing floating islands made of totora reeds, learn a little about the customs of the communities that live on the islands. Contemplate the beautiful Lake Titicaca.
The island of the Uros, a group of 80 islands built on totora, an aquatic plant that grows on the surface. The people who inhabit this island are the Uros, one of the oldest cultures of the continent, they still maintain some of their customs and their subsistence is based on fishing and hunting, they also manufacture wool fabrics for tapestries and stuffed animals.
-The excursion starts with the pick up from the hotel (near or inside the historical center of Puno) between 6:30 - 7:00 am.
-We will embark to the first floating island of the Uros, here we will have a brief guide and learn more about the experiences of the area.
-After visiting the Uros we will continue the tour until we reach the island of Taquile, here we will enjoy spectacular views, also here we will have a delicious lunch in one of the family houses.
-We will visit the main square of the island, we will see the islanders with their typical costumes.
-Then we will return to the port of Puno, arrival time 15:30 p.m. approximately.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
