Itinerary:
Pick up from hotels located in the center of Puno to transfer them to the port.
• Arrival at the Port and boarding the boat to begin our boat trip to the first point, which is the Uros Island; which we will arrive in an average of 30 minutes; On the way we will be able to see part of Lake Titicaca.
• Upon arriving at the Island we will be able to see a group of people dressed in their typical local attire, who will give us an affectionate welcome. Upon disembarking from the boat we will notice how the islands are floating under the water; At the place we will settle down to be able to listen to our guide who will give us detailed information about how the islands originated, materials used for their construction and how the residents live in the place. After the explanation we will have time to take photos and visit the houses of the residents.
• Optionally we can visit a second island on reed rafts (S/. 10.00 price of the ride) where you can taste some typical dish from the area or buy local crafts.
• We continue our journey on a trip of approximately 02 hours. through Lake Titicaca to reach the natural island of Taquile where we will begin our ascending walk of approximately 40 minutes. Heading towards the main square of the island, we will visit the textile museum, its colonial church and more.
• Then we can have lunch; Our meals consist of a quinoa soup as a starter and a trout-based main dish; As a drink, it is traditional to drink coca or muña mate, which are very good for avoiding altitude sickness and stomach pain. Our guide will give us an explanation about the history of the island, the clothing of the residents and their main productions.
• We will have free time to take photos and then we will begin the descent to the port to board the boat and begin our way back to the main port of Puno.
