1 Day Speedboat Excursion to Uros and Taquile: Explore the highest lake in the world, meet the local life and the artificial totora reed islands.
The Uros Taquile Tour by speedboat starts at 7:30 a.m. with pick up from your hotel or the bus terminal in Puno. From there, we will go by private transportation to the main dock to board our speedboat to the floating islands of the Uros, part of the Lake Titicaca National Reserve. During the visit, we will learn about the traditions and lifestyle of the Uros, including their artisanal fishing and the organization of their 75 islands.
Afterwards, we will sail for approximately 2.5 hours to the natural island of Taquile, famous for its outstanding UNESCO-recognized textiles. In Taquile, we will enjoy a 2-hour visit and a typical lunch in front of the lake. The tour will conclude with the return to Puno, estimating arrival around 5:00 p.m.
