Description
The inhabitants and their ancestral customs such as fishing in totora reed rafts. There are approximately more than 80 islands, inhabited by Uro-Aymara families.
In this tour you will have the option to decide whether to do it in the morning or in the afternoon. Depending on the time you choose, we will pick you up from your hotel around 8:50 am or 4:00 pm to leave the port of Puno. After 30 minutes by boat we will arrive at the Uros Islands, an ancient village made up of small islands made of totora reeds with small houses also made of totora reeds, where we will visit 2 of these specimens each for about 30 minutes. Here we will be able to appreciate the traditional crafts and customs of these communities based on hunting, weaving and aquatic life with a joint explanation between our tour guide and the local family. In this adventure you will even have the option to take a ride on the typical totora reed boats used in this area. After the 3 hour tour we will return to the city of Puno.
