3-Day Otter Watching Tour
Day 1
We will pick you up at the Puerto Maldonado airport, from where we will transfer to the river port of this Peruvian town to board a large boat. Everything ready for a journey through the Tambopata and Madre de Dios rivers!

During the ride we will have a picnic on board while we observe the landscapes of the Peruvian Amazon. The journey will conclude in a jungle lodge, where we will be welcomed with a welcome drink.

After a well-deserved rest in the rooms, we will attend a talk given by a local naturalist about the threatened species of the Tambopata National Reserve. Afterwards we will have dinner at the hotel and take a night canoe ride to spot alligators. We will conclude this first day by returning to the hotel to rest.

Day 2
We will get up early to have breakfast and embark on a one-kilometer walk to Lake Tres Chimbadas, one of the homes of the famous giant otters of Tambopata.

After contemplating these friendly mammals, we will take a brief canoe trip across the lake. Next, we will have a picnic and head to the highest wildlife observation tower in the Amazon. From its 46-meter viewpoint we will enjoy extraordinary views! Finally, we will return to the hotel for dinner and spend the night.

Day 3
Once we have breakfast at the hotel, taking into account the departure time of your flight, we will take you to the Puerto Maldonado airport well in advance.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
