Tambopata 2D | Monkey Island + Caiman Search|

Explore the Tambopata rainforest on an exciting adventure that includes visiting Monkey Island by kayak and searching for caimans, among other exciting activities.
Day 1: Kayaking + Monkey Island + Cayman Hunting

-We will start our excursion from the meeting point at 9:30 a.m. We will navigate by boat on the Madre de Dios River to our lodge. Upon arrival, we will be greeted with a refreshing local fruit drink and receive information about the planned activities.

-After settling in, we will take a walk through the jungle to admire ancient trees and, if we are lucky, spot some animals such as monkeys, birds and insects.

-At 1:00 p.m., we will enjoy a comforting lunch.

-Then, we will venture by kayak down the Madre de Dios River to Monkey Island, where we can interact with a family of these curious primates.

-In the evening, we will embark on an exciting night walk along the river in search of caimans in their natural habitat.

-Upon our return, a delicious dinner awaits, followed by an optional campfire activity, where we will share stories of the jungle.

-We will rest in our lodge for the night, ready to continue exploring the jungle the next day.


Day 2: Sandoval Lake - Return to the city

-We will start the day with a delicious early breakfast and get ready to head to Sandoval Lake. To get there, we will walk 3 kilometers, passing by Collpas of palm trees rich in minerals, where, with luck, we may spot macaws licking these palms.

-Once at the lake, we will have time to explore part of the area and observe various animals in their natural habitat, such as coto monkeys, turtles, black caimans, giant otters, among others.

-At noon, we will enjoy lunch at 12:30 pm.

-Then, we will return to the city at 4:30 pm.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
