Embark on a fascinating 5-day excursion through the Manu rainforest, where you will have the opportunity to admire the vibrant cock-of-the-rock, the national bird, along with many other bird species.

Day 1: Cusco - Cloud Forest
Early pick up from hotel and drive through Paucartambo and Ninamarca to Acjanaco, the entrance to Manu National Park.
Descend into the cloud forest to observe flora such as orchids and fauna such as cock-of-the-rock and toucans.
Drive to the port of Atalaya to board a motorized boat to the lodge.
Overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Santa Cruz
Breakfast and navigation on the Madre de Dios River to the park's checkpoint.
Registration and excursion with explanation about the local ethnic group and their culture.
In the afternoon, visit and interaction with the families of the Matsigenka ethnic group.
Day 3: Palotoa Teparo - Pusharo Petroglyphs.
Breakfast and excursion to Pongo de Meganto to explore the main panel of petroglyphs, including representations of the sun god and the face of the Inca.
Pusharo, considered a temple or lost city.
Box lunch and return to the community.
Day 4: Villa Salvation
Breakfast, packing and transfer by boat to the port of Santa Cruz. Optional: sport fishing and swimming.
In the afternoon, visit to the Machuwasi lagoon to observe birds, ducks and capybaras.
Day 5: Cusco
Early departure to try to see the cock of the rock again.
Return to Cusco with approximate arrival at 16:00.

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
