Puerto Maldonado: Tambopata National Reserve Excursion 4-day

Discover the natural wonders of Puerto Maldonado on a 4-day excursion to the Tambopata National Reserve, with lodging and meals included. See a great variety of exotic animals in the wild.
DAY 1: Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport or bus terminal and transferred to the Monte Amazónico office for registration. It is recommended to pack only what is necessary. Then, a bus ride of approximately 2 hours takes the group to the banks of the Tambopata River, where you take a boat to the “Monte Amazónico - Tambopata” Lodge. After a welcome and room assignment, lunch is offered. In the afternoon, an introductory walk through the rainforest, where you can observe various animals in their natural habitat.
DAY 2: The day begins early, at 4:30 a.m., with a boat trip of approximately 1:30 hours to the largest macaw clay lick in the world, the COLLPA CHUNCHO. During the trip, it is possible to see species such as ronsocos and jaguars. Upon arrival, you will observe a natural spectacle with hundreds of parrots and macaws that come to feed on clay. After breakfast, you return by boat to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to Monte Amazónico Lodge - Sandoval Lake. In the afternoon, you visit the “monkey island” and in the evening you look for white caimans in the Madre de Dios River.
DAY 3: After breakfast, you walk 3 km to Sandoval Lake, where you can observe a great variety of birds and monkeys. You take a boat ride on the lake, known for its biodiversity, including piranhas and giant otters. In the evening, a night walk to observe insects and other animals.
DAY 4: At 5:30 a.m., you will take a ride on the Canopy at more than 30 meters high to appreciate nature from above. You can observe various species of birds. Finally, we return to Puerto Maldonado to conclude the tour.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
