Walk through the Peruvian jungle and learn about the Amazonian culture of the S'eja tribe
Day 01: Arrival/ Walk in the forest
The journey begins when you arrive at Puerto Maldonado to embark on an outboard boat along the Madre de Dios River to Ecolucerna Lodge (approximately 1 ½ hrs downstream). Upon arrival you will enjoy a tasty lunch made from organic ingredients and native flavors. After lunch you will take a walk through the natural trails, where you will discover and learn about the primary and secondary forest, its components, uses, man-made transformations, and its relevance to the world.
This walk will end at night where you will have the opportunity to observe the behavior of the nocturnal flora and fauna of the Amazon.
Returning to the Lodge you will enjoy a refreshing traditional dinner.

Day 02: Sandoval Lake & Night Cayman Safari
Today you will live a day of many emotions, after having a nutritious breakfast, you will get ready for a walk along the Tambopata National Reserve, which will lead you to Lake Sandoval. Here you will understand why Madre de Dios is known as the biodiversity capital of Peru. You will learn about the conservation works of the

Reserve and over the formation of the lake, canoeing through this body of water, home to the endangered giant otter, the blue and yellow macaw, and one of the largest freshwater fish in the world, the Paiche. ”.

At night you will have an interesting night excursion, you will navigate the Madre de Dios River, to learn about its ecosystem, Amazonian ravines, and the behavior of nocturnal fauna on the banks of the river. Our day ends with a traditional dinner in the dining room.

Day 03: Visit to the Ese´eja family & artisanal fishing or gardens.
After breakfast, we get ready to have an experience with the Bococo family, a Ese'eja family that has migrated to an island near our lodge, who have adapted to survive and today actively collaborate in our programs in exchange. from a donation and the sale of their crafts.

In the afternoon, we get ready to travel until we reach another hostel near the city and Macaw Clay Clay Clay, which we will go to visit very early tomorrow.
If we still have energy left, our guide will offer us a night walk which you can join.

Day 04: Amazonian sunrise & Check out to Puerto Maldonado
This morning you will be free to enjoy the sunrise and capture the impressive views of the Madre de River.
God. You will enjoy one last nutritious breakfast with organic ingredients from our pantry before leaving. Your guide and the staff in charge will bid you farewell and thank you for your visit to this part of the Amazon. You will travel by canoe with an outboard motor back to Puerto Maldonado. Depending on your departure time, you can relax and calmly wait for your bus home or to your next destination.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
