Embark on a 3-day adventure in the Amazon Rainforest. Explore the jungle, see the sunset, and spot wildlife. Visit Sandoval Lake, see the sunrise, and watch parrots at a clay lick.
On day 1, be picked up from the airport or bus station and driven to the lodge. Pass through a small community, where you can see many parrots, macaws, and parrots. Be introduced to your private room, overlooking the Tambopata River.
After a short break, have a 1-hour introductory walk in the rainforest, guided by an expert local guide. See a variety of trees that can be more than 500 years old, and observe some species of wild animals such as toucans, orioles, parrots, monkeys, snakes, and butterflies.
On day 2, enjoy breakfast and prepare to go to Sandoval Lake. Take a long boat trip to the entrance of Sandoval Lake, and walk to the lake. Get in a rowboat and navigate the lake to see different bird and monkey species, and maybe meet the family of giant river otters.
Return to the lodge for lunch and go on a night walk to see nocturnal animals, insects, and birds. Spot nocturnal monkeys, frogs, large tarantulas, rodents, spiders, owls, fireflies, snakes, and vipers.
On day 3, get up early to see a festival of different types of parrots that live in the Amazon region. Embark and leave by land or river to see the sunrise and hear the noise of the insects and the songs of the Amazon birds.
Upon arrival, observe a large number of parrots gathered like every morning on the clay wall, ready to continue with their diet. See the parrots eat minerals that contain useful substances for their diet and detoxification.
Enjoy a continental breakfast and return to the city.
