Day 1: Depart Cusco early by bus, visiting Ninamarca's funeral towers. Descend through the cloud forest, stopping to witness the Cock of the Rock's mating ritual and other wildlife. Arrive at Atalaya village, then take a 30-minute boat ride to the lodge along the Alto Madre de Dios River.
Day 2: Enjoy breakfast and a morning hike to a viewpoint overlooking river villages and a jungle walk to observe birds and wildlife. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Early morning boat ride to the parrot lick to observe green parrots and other wildlife. Return to Lake Machuhuasi for a rafting excursion to observe more bird species. After a jungle walk, return to the lodge for the night.
Day 4: Return to Atalaya by boat and then to Cusco by bus, arriving in the evening. Transfer to your hotel.
