Kayaking adventure exploring from Puerto Maldonado 4D

Explore the Amazon rainforest on an exciting 4-day, 3-night adventure in the Tambopata National Reserve, where you will discover exotic species of plants and animals. You will navigate by canoe and kayak, immersing yourself in this lush landscape on a journey into the past.

ITINERARY:

- DAY 1:
• Your journey begins with a transfer to the airport and the exciting journey to your hotel, located on the banks of the Tambopata River, just 4.5 kilometers from the city.
• After orientation, you will begin your hike through the jungle. Observe monkeys, birds, butterflies and other species up close while learning about the importance of this area to the local inhabitants.

- DAY 2:
• Take a 3 km hike to Sandoval Lake, within the Tambopata National Reserve.
• You will canoe across the lake, exploring the ecosystem while looking for monkeys, squirrels, lizards, black caimans, birds, giant otters and perhaps even the impressive Paiche fish.
• At night, venture into the jungle in search of tarantulas, frogs and insects that fill the air with their chirping.

- DAY 3:
• Visit the exciting Monkey Island, where you will experience the adrenaline rush as you walk across hanging bridges in the forest canopy and slide down zip lines.
• Explore the river by kayak and test your skills by climbing the natural walls that this impressive island has to offer.

- DAY 4:
• Enjoy the beautiful Lake Yacumama, known for piranha fishing and spotting macaw and stork hatchlings, offering you a unique and memorable natural experience.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
