Description
Experience the local culture through piranha fishing and parrot watching. You will learn ancestral techniques and enjoy an exceptional natural spectacle.
Discover an exciting itinerary starting with a 15:00 pick-up from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado. We'll head to the entrance of the Peruvian jungle on a short 30-minute drive, where we'll walk through lush nature until we reach the Madre de Dios River.
We will board a canoe to enjoy a unique panoramic view of lagoons and palm groves from the water. We will stop in the middle of the river to experience piranha fishing, a practice deeply rooted in the region.
After this exciting experience, we will return to the shore and approach the clay lick. There, for half an hour, we will observe how hundreds of parrots feed on the minerals and salts contained in the mud of this natural formation.
Back in the canoe, we will start our return trip and at 18:30 we will accompany you back to your accommodation, concluding a day full of piranha fishing and parrot watching.
