Explore the Amazon rainforest by night along the Tambopata River and spot snakes, monkeys and leopards under the moonlight
Itinerary
Scheduled pick up at 17:00 at your accommodation in Puerto Maldonado, from where we will head towards the most natural area of the city, known as the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon jungle.
We will start the night trekking once there. For three hours we will explore under the moonlight, admiring the exotic vegetation of the Amazon rainforest. We will follow the course of the Tambopata River and stop on its banks to enjoy the night sounds.
Our tour will include the Tambopata Ecotourism Corridor and will take us to the Tambopata National Reserve, where we will walk among the wild flora and have the opportunity to spot species such as snakes and tarantulas. If we are lucky, we may also spot leopards and nocturnal monkeys.
At 20:00 we will return to the hotel to conclude our night trek.
