Embark on a 4-day Amazon adventure: jungle hikes, wildlife encounters, and tranquil river explorations await. Discover Tambopata's rich biodiversity and unwind in Puerto Maldonado.
DAY 1: CONNECT WITH THE NATURAL JUNGLE AND RELAX

Travelers picked up from airport or bus station and taken to lodge. Drive 2 hours through Puerto Maldonado, passing cassava, plantain, pineapple plantations. Arrive at Hacienda Lodge, lunch served. After lunch, embark on exploration. Hike through forest, admire towering 30-meter trees, explore rich flora and fauna. Night Hike: Experience nocturnal walk, observe tarantulas, snakes, insects.

DAY 2: GUACAMAYOS AND PARROTS' PARADISE

At 4:30 am, travelers will depart by boat to explore the Tambopata River. The journey will last approximately 1.5 hours. During this time, we may observe wildlife such as jaguars, tapirs, and capybaras. Our destination is the world's largest clay lick, Collpa Chuncho, where we will observe 3 species of colorful macaws and 3 species of parrots living in groups of 80 to 100.

After observing and photographing the wildlife at the clay lick, we will return to the lodge by boat. Here, we will have time to pack and have lunch. After lunch, we will travel to Puerto Maldonado by car. From there, we will navigate the Madre de Dios River for about 30 minutes before reaching our second lodge.

Upon arrival and settling in, we will continue by boat to the monkey house, where travelers will have the opportunity to feed and observe 3 species of monkeys.

DAY 3: TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE – LAKE SANDOVAL

After breakfast at the lodge, we'll gather our belongings and head by boat to Tambopata National Reserve (Lake Sandoval). Here, you'll have the chance to observe wildlife such as giant otters, 4 monkey species, butterflies, and a variety of colorful native birds of Peru.

Later in the day, we'll explore another part of the reserve before returning to the lodge.

In the evening, join us for our final activity: a boat ride along the Madre de Dios River in search of caimans near Lake Sandoval.

DAY 4: AMAZONIAN SUNRISE – PUERTO MALDONADO

Amazonian sunrise and departure to Puerto Maldonado. This morning, you'll enjoy the sunrise and capture breathtaking views of the Madre de Dios River. Savor a final nutritious breakfast with organic ingredients from our pantry before departing. Your guide and the staff will bid you farewell and thank you for visiting this part of the Amazon. You'll travel back to Puerto Maldonado by motorized canoe. Depending on your departure time, you can relax and peacefully await your bus home or to your next destination.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
