DAY 1: Eco Tambopata Natural Reserve – Thrilling Adventures Begin
Upon arrival, be escorted to the office for registration and secure storage of excess luggage. Then, enjoy a scenic 40-minute boat ride on the Madre de Dios River to the Amazon Garden Lodge, where a refreshing welcome drink awaits.
Start your journey with an exhilarating canopy circuit, ascending to treetop platforms with stunning rainforest views. Glide along a 200-meter zip line, then cross a daring 75-meter hanging walkway, 27 meters above the forest floor. A second zip line leads you back to the starting point before descending to the lodge for a delicious lunch.
Afternoon Adventures:
Kayak along the tranquil Madre de Dios River to Monkey Island, where capuchins, tamarins, and squirrel monkeys interact playfully, even accepting food from your hands.
In the evening, a night walk along the riverbank offers thrilling encounters with caimans, their glowing eyes reflecting moonlight. Return to the lodge for a restful night surrounded by the Amazon’s nocturnal sounds.
DAY 2: Lake Sandoval – Exploring Nature’s Hidden Gem
After breakfast, take a boat ride to the Tambopata National Reserve entrance, followed by a 1.5-hour rainforest hike. Ancient trees tower above while vibrant flora and fauna surround you. Keep an eye out for monkeys and colorful birds.
Arriving at Lake Sandoval, explore its tranquil waters by canoe. Spot playful giant river otters, turtles, and various bird species. This serene setting immerses you in the rainforest's beauty. After a fulfilling day, return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful night’s rest.
DAY 3: Native Family Visit and Rustic Fishing
The day begins with a boat ride to the Ese’Eja Native Community, where you'll connect with families preserving their ancestral traditions. Learn about their language, dances, and customs, gaining insight into their harmonious relationship with the rainforest.
After lunch, try your hand at rustic fishing on the Madre de Dios River. Attempt to catch native species like catfish or the elusive red-eye piranha. Relax in the serene river setting before returning to the lodge for dinner and a restful evening.
DAY 4: Parrots and Parakeets Clay Lick – Farewell to the Amazon
Rise early to visit the Cachuela Clay Lick, where vibrant parrots and parakeets gather in a dazzling morning spectacle. Their colorful flocks and lively chatter create an unforgettable experience.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
