1DAY: MONKEY DAY
Reception at our office and 35 minute boat ride to our lodge, located near the Madre de Dios River. Presentation of the lodge and rooms with private bathroom. Typical lunch available (vegetarian or vegan option).
ACTIVITIES:
Visit to the Monkey House to interact with 4 different species, feeding them with fruits and vegetables.
Night walk with flashlight in the primary and secondary forest to observe insects and nocturnal animals such as sloths, tarantulas, spiders, frogs, giant toads, scorpions and possibly snakes active during the night. Return to the lodge for dinner.
2DAY: ROAD TO SANDOVAL LAKE
We will depart to the port of Sandoval Lake by boat, a 30 minute ride followed by a 3 kilometer (1 hour) hike on a clean and well maintained trail, which includes a bridge. During the hike we will be able to see up to 4 species of monkeys, snakes, tarantulas, tropical birds, parrots and other mammals.
At the end of the hike, we will embark on a canoe to explore the shores of Lake Sandoval in search of wildlife such as tropical birds, herons, caimans and the imposing giant otter, emblematic of the department of Madre de Dios. We will return to the lodge to enjoy lunch and rest in our rooms.
In the afternoon, we will take a boat to contemplate the sunset in the Amazon jungle, accompanied by monkeys and bats. Afterwards, we will go in search of caimans before returning to the lodge for dinner and rest.
3 DAY:
SUNRISE IN TAMBOPATA
Start the day with the spectacular Amazonian sunrise and a departure to Puerto Maldonado. Contemplate the breathtaking views of the Madre de Dios River while enjoying one last nutritious breakfast with organic ingredients from our pantry.
Your guide and staff will join you to say goodbye and thank you for visiting this region of the Amazon. You will travel back to Puerto Maldonado in a comfortable canoe with outboard motor. Depending on your departure time, you can relax while waiting for your bus back home or to your next destination.

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
