From Iquitos || 4-day tour of the northern Amazon ||

Wild animals, river walks, jungle hikes... Enjoy one of the most special places in the world with this 4-day tour of the northern Amazon.
Day 1
We will pick you up at your accommodation in Iquitos and, without wasting any time, we will go to the port of Bellavista to board a boat that will take us to the jungle lodge. On the way we will make a stop at the junction between the Amazon and Nanay rivers to discover the fauna that inhabits these waters, where we will be able to see the first piranhas!

After leaving our bags and recharge our batteries with a delicious lunch, we will go to one of the villages that inhabit this lush area. We will learn about the lifestyle of the local farmers and the medicinal plants they use and their healing values.

After returning to the lodge and enjoying dinner, we will offer you the possibility of a night walk.

Day 2
We will start the day with a visit to Neyser Island to see its famous serpentarium. In addition to these reptiles, we will also have the opportunity to see other animals such as anteaters and sloths, monkeys and turtles. On the way back we will try to spot the pink dolphins of the Amazon.

In the afternoon, we will visit a butterfly farm to learn first-hand about their metamorphosis process.

Day 3
We will wake up at 4:30 a.m. for a short night walk through the jungle to contemplate one of the most beautiful sunrises you have ever seen. Afterwards, we will return to the lodge to recharge our batteries with a hearty breakfast and continue with the activities.

During this day we will visit the Yagua tribe, from whom we will learn about their typical dances and discover their handicrafts, and you will surely want to buy some nice souvenirs of the experience! In addition, in the afternoon, we will also visit another indigenous community in the area to learn about their traditional medicine techniques.

Day 4
On the last day of the excursion, we will navigate the Amazon River to fish for one of its most feared fish: piranhas. And, to top it off, we will also take you to an area of therapeutic mud that will leave your skin as good as new.

Finally, after lunch, we will return to the city of Iquitos, where we will arrive at approximately 4:00 pm.

Lodging
This tour includes three nights lodging at the Amazon Queen Lodge.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
