Explore Iquitos: 3 Days of Adventure on the Yanayacu River

The adventure in the Amazon jungle was about to begin! We headed to the port, where the Yakumama Tours team was eagerly waiting for us to embark.
Day 1
At 9:00 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Iquitos. We will travel by minibus to the port, where we will take a boat to the lodge, where we will spend the next two nights. The adventure on the Yanayacu River begins!
Upon arrival, we will settle into the lodge and enjoy a buffet lunch. Afterwards, we will explore the humid flora of the region on a guided walk.
In the afternoon, we will enjoy a spectacular sunset over a lagoon. Afterwards, we will have dinner and prepare for an exciting night exploration by boat, searching for birds, mammals and caimans. Get ready for action!
Day 2
After breakfast, we will cruise downstream in search of the impressive pink dolphins of the Yanayacu River. During the trip, we will see the giant aquatic plant Victoria Regia and friendly iguanas.
We will return to the lodge for lunch, and then you can choose to fish for piranhas in the Corriente and Purura lagoons. Later, we will visit the community of San Juan de Yanayacu, where we will learn about their customs and have dinner in the cabins before heading out to look for tarantulas and giant frogs.
Day 3
After breakfast, we will board a boat to the Sapote lagoon for bird watching. Then, we will head to Moena lagoon to see sloths and monkeys.
We will return to the lodge for lunch and then sail back to Iquitos. Upon arrival, a bus will take us to your hotel or the airport, with an expected arrival from 16:00.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
