Itinerary:

DAY 01

Transfer to Iquitos, brief city orientation.
Navigate the Amazon River, observe the jungle, riverside towns, and visit a nature reserve to see Victoria Regia, paiches, lizards, and piranhas.
Visit an animal sanctuary to see monkeys, toucans, macaws, mata-mata turtles, sloth bears, and anacondas.
Continue to Nanay and Momón Rivers, reaching our Amazon Camp hostel for a welcome drink.
Self-service lunch at Amazon Camp.
Walk through the jungle to the Boras tribe, participating in dances and learning about their customs.
Dinner at Amazon Camp.
Night jungle excursion to observe insects, tarantulas, frogs, scorpions, monkeys, and nocturnal birds.
Overnight stay at the accommodation.
DAY 02

Optional sunrise birdwatching.
Breakfast at Amazon Camp.
Route the 4 rivers (Momón, Nanay, Amazonas, Itaya), observe dolphins and visit the Independencia community viewpoint.
Walk through Independencia, and see a 70-meter Lupuna tree, bats, and a small waterfall.
Lunch at Amazon Camp.
Piranha fishing and optional river swimming.
Dinner at Amazon Camp.
Film session with productions filmed at the hostel.
Overnight stay at the accommodation.
DAY 03

Optional sunrise birdwatching.
Breakfast at Amazon Camp.
Boat trip to Padrecocha's Cocama community, visit Pilpintuwasi butterfly farm, and observe animals in their habitat.
Self-service lunch at Amazon Camp.
Canoeing around the hostel.
Dinner at Amazon Camp.
Optional night excursion on the Momón River.
Overnight stay at the accommodation.
DAY 04

Breakfast at Amazon Camp.
Sail the Momón River to San Antonio, and observe hamlets and peaceful river landscapes.
Botanical walk, learning about medicinal plants, timber trees, fruit trees, bromeliads, orchids, and heliconias.
Return to Amazon Camp for lunch or San Antonio Camp Lunch.
Relaxing afternoon after a jungle walk.
Dinner at Amazon Camp.
Night excursion.
Overnight stay at the accommodation.
DAY 05

Breakfast at Amazon Camp.
Transfer to Bellavista-Nanay port, then to Iquitos' Plaza de Armas for a city tour.
Observe colonial buildings with mosaics and iron balconies.
Visit the Iron House designed by Gustave Eiffel, Morey House, and the Amazon Museum with Felipe Lettersten sculptures.
Walk around Belén Market and the floating neighborhood.
Tour the Manatee Rescue Center to learn about manatee recovery.
Visit Quistococha Zoo with 70 rescued. species, a lagoon, a white sand beach, and restaurants.
Lunch at Quistococha restaurant with optional swimming.
Return to the airport or hotel

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
