Lima: Private 2-day trekking route through Rúpac

Discover the ruins of the Atavillos citadel, an ancient pre-Inca culture, on this 2-day trekking route through Rúpac. You will enjoy a beautiful sunset from the top of the mountain.
Day 1
At the indicated time, we will pick you up at the point in Lima that you choose and we will head towards the province of Huaral. We will make a stop so you can have breakfast on your own and we will continue towards La Florida, where you can stretch your legs while we buy tickets to the citadel of Rúpac.

After having gained strength with lunch, we will depart from the town of Pampas and begin a three-hour trekking route towards Rúpac, admiring incredible mountain landscapes.

We will cross waterfalls, grasslands and small streams until we reach the camping area just to see a wonderful sunset over Rúpac that will be forever recorded in your retina. Afterwards, we will sit by the fire to rest and enjoy the star-covered sky.

Day 2
We will wake up at dawn so as not to miss the sunrise in Rúpac and, after having a comforting breakfast, we will continue visiting the citadel. We will learn about the history of the atavillos, the pre-Inca culture that built the buildings of this fort on the top of a mountain, and we will discover how they carried out their rituals and traditions.

After the tour of Rúpac, we will return on foot to Pampas, where we will have lunch and begin our return journey to Lima. We will drop you off at the pick-up point around 7:00 p.m.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
