From Lima: Chilca or Marcahuasi desert 4x4 Tour || Half Day

Travel by 4x4 through the desert dunes of Chilca or Marcahuasi on this tour from Lima. In addition, you can go hiking, sandboarding or biking, it will be unforgettable!
Modalities
At the time of booking, you can choose between four modalities. All of them include hotel pick-up, 4x4 transportation, Spanish speaking guide and the complete equipment for the activities. Below, we tell you the particularities of each one:

Sandboarding (2 hours)
At the indicated time, we will pick you up at the point of Lima of your choice. In a 4x4 vehicle, we will travel for an hour southbound to the Chilca desert.

Upon arrival at our destination, we will make a tour of the dunes in the SUV, enjoying the beautiful and arid landscape of the area, one of the preferred by locals to practice sports like the one we are about to enjoy: sandboarding.

We will equip ourselves with the necessary material for the activity and, after a brief explanatory talk, we will slide down the dunes on the boards. You will love this fun experience in the huge sand mountains of Chilca!

After two hours sliding on the sandboards, we will return to the 4x4 and go back to Lima. We will be back at your hotel four hours after the tour starts.

Schedule: this tour takes place at 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Sandboarding + Picnic in Chilca (7 hours)
If you want an even more complete experience, we will pick you up at your hotel in Lima and we will go to the desert of Chilca.

Once there, the pilot in charge will make small maneuvers with the off-road vehicle to enjoy the beautiful staggered dunes. Once we have all the equipment ready and the lesson learned, it will be time to jump into the sand of the Chilca desert and start the sandboarding experience!

After two hours enjoying the sandboarding activity, you will be offered a delicious picnic lunch in the desert to get your strength back. This includes red wine, a ham and cheese board, different varieties of bread, water and other snacks.

After seven hours enjoying the Chilca desert, we will drop you back at the meeting point.

Schedule: this tour takes place at 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Biking through the Chilca Desert (6 hours)
We will start the 4x4 tour to the Chilca desert at the selected time. After enjoying the maneuvers of the off-road vehicle through the dunes of Chilca, we will change vehicles and start a fascinating bike tour through the desert.

We will pedal through the different dunes, gradually raising the level until we reach the top of the highest dune in the Chilca desert. It will be a lot of fun!

After six hours of activity, we will return to your hotel and end the tour.

Schedule: This tour takes place at 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Trekking through Marcahuasi (11 hours)
If you choose this option, we will have to get up early. We will pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time and we will leave in 4x4 vehicles towards San Pedro de Casta. After a brief stop to rest, we will continue the tour towards the entrance of Marcahuasi.

At this point, we will start the trekking route until we reach the Marcahuasi Plateau. Throughout the hike, we will enjoy landscapes full of imposing rock formations, beautiful and colorful lagoons and archaeological sites that will leave you speechless.

Finally, we will return to your hotel and finish the activity after an 11-hour tour.

Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
