La Cordillera Huayhuash, entre las tres más hermosas del mundo, es una cadena montañosa de los Andes peruanos.
Day 1: Huaraz - Transfer to Matacancha (4150 m)
We leave Huaraz at 9:00 am and arrive at the first campsite around 3:00 pm. We stop for lunch in Chiquian. There is no hiking on the first day. After arriving, we enjoy the view of the Rondoy mountain and the valley, where there are often breathtaking sunsets.
Day 2: Matacancha - Trekking Paso Cananpunta (4700 m) - Paso Punta Carhuac (4640 m) - Laguna de Mitucocha - Continuation Laguna Carhuacocha (4200 m)
We wake up early to start a 2.5 hour hike to the first pass at 4700 m. Then we descend about 400 m before climbing again to reach the second pass at 4,650 m. We arrive at Carhuacocha camp at 4:30 pm.
Day 3: Carhuacocha - Siula Pass Trek (4950 m) - Huayhuash Camp (4450 m)
Another early start for an uphill hike to the pass at 4810m. Today we will pass through the famous 3 lagoons of 3 different colors, with approximately 8 hours of hiking. The Huayhuash camp is located at an altitude of 4350 m.
Day 4: Huayhuash Camp - Trapesio Pass Trek (5041 m) - Camp at Cuyoc (4400 m)
We wake up early to climb the Trapasio Pass at 5041 m, with the option of walking an additional 40 minutes to the glacier. We then descend past 5 beautiful lakes to reach Cuyoc Camp at 4400m. Approximately 6-7 hours of hiking.
Day 5: Cuyoc Camp - Santa Rosa or San Antonio Pass Trek (5080 m approx.) - Huayllapa Village Camp (3600 m)
This day includes one of the most impressive views of the Huayhuash trek, the Santa Rosa Pass. The hike lasts approximately 9 hours, with the campsite located in the village of Huayllapa, at 3,487 m.
Day 6: Huayllapa Village - Punta Tapush Pass Trek (4800 m) - Gashgapampa Camp (4500 m)
We start early for a 4 to 5 hour hike to Tapush pass, at 4800 m. Then we continue to camp at 4400 m, with approximately 13 km and 7 hours of hiking.
Day 7: Gashgapampa - Yaucha Pass Trek (4800 m) - Jahuacocha Lagoon (4,066 m)
After breakfast, we head to Yaucha Pass, at 4800 m, and then visit a lagoon viewpoint. We descend to the camp at 4,000 m.
Day 8: Jahuacocha - Jahuapunta Pass Trek (4650 m) - Pocpa Village (3600 m); Transfer to Huaraz
Final hike of 5 hours / 16 km to the village of Pocpa, where our private transportation will be waiting to take us back to Huaraz for approximately 4 hours.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
