From Lima: Monumental Callao full day

Discover the history and beauty of Callao from the fortress of Real Felipe to the charm of "La Punta", with spectacular views and a walk through the wetland "Poza la Ardilla".
At 9:00 a.m., we will pick you up at your hotel to begin the tour. First, you will visit the Real Felipe Fortress, an icon of Callao and all of Peru, dating from the mid-18th century.

This military structure was built for the purpose of protecting the port against attacks by pirates and corsairs from various parts of the world, followed by a walk through the streets of monumental Callao, which is part of its historic center.

Afterwards, you will be transported through the neighborhood of the Italian immigrants, known as Chucuito, where you will see picturesque houses built in the 19th century.
The next stop will be “La Punta”, the smallest neighborhood of Callao, where you will visit the Malecon Pardo to enjoy the views of the Callao islands and the seawall.

Around 1:00 p.m. you will have time for lunch on your own. At approximately 2:30 p.m., you will continue with a walk through the “Poza la Ardilla” wetland, a refuge for hundreds of guano and migratory birds. There you will receive an explanation about the place and have free time to take pictures or even take a boat ride to Gilligan Island.

At approximately 15:00, you will return to Lima by private transportation, directly to your hotel, marking the end of the tour services.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
