Itinerary and key features:

DAY 01
Cusco | Challacancha - Soraypampa - Humantay Lake - Campamento del Cielo

Your exciting 2-day excursion begins with pickup at the meeting point in Cusco. After a nutritious breakfast in Mollepata, we'll make a short stop at Challacancha. The hike to Soraypampa, our camp, offers a gentle introduction to altitude, with a scenic route along an Inca canal.

Upon arrival at Campamento del Cielo, set against the majestic Salkantay and Humantay mountains, you'll be greeted with a delicious lunch. After relaxing, we will embark on an evening hike to Lake Humantay (4,200 masl). The gradual ascent will allow you to adjust to the altitude and reward you with a stunning view of the jewel-like lake against a snowy backdrop.

Back at Sky Camp, you will enjoy a delicious dinner and a stargazing session, where your guide will share Incan astronomy. You will sleep in your igloo with views of the constellations from the rooftop to end this unforgettable day.

DAY 02
Sky Camp Salkantaypampa - Salkantay Pass - Soyrococha - Soraypampa - Cusco

Today's highlight is conquering the Salkantay Pass and witnessing a stunning mountain landscape. After a nutritious breakfast, we will gradually ascend the challenging "Trail of the 7 Snakes" until reaching the impressive Salkantay Pass at (4,630 masl). Take your time to capture memorable photos and enjoy the incredible scenery.

After this awe-inspiring moment, we will descend through unique rocky terrain to our camp for lunch. You will enjoy incredible views along the way, including a distant view of the snow-covered boulder forest.

After lunch at the Sky Camp, we will take a short break before embarking on a 30-minute ride to board our shuttle. This final stretch offers numerous photo opportunities of valleys, mountains, rivers and farmland. Finally, we will return you to Cusco for a well-deserved rest at your accommodation.
